Six reasons uploads get rejected

  • Too big — compress it with Compress image.
  • Too small — some portals set a minimum too; use the min-KB box.
  • Wrong format — PNG or HEIC where JPG is required.
  • Wrong dimensions — fix with Resize image.
  • Unclear signature — faint ink, shadows, or lined paper.
  • Photo rules broken — cap, sunglasses, side angle, busy background.

Taking a photo that passes

  • Plain light wall, facing a window, about a metre back.
  • Chest upward, both ears visible, neutral expression, no cap or tinted glasses.
  • Crop to head & shoulders, then resize and compress.

Scanning a signature

  • Black or dark blue ink on plain white paper, signed as you normally would.
  • Photograph straight-on in good light, no shadow.
  • Crop tight to the ink before compressing.

Documents & certificates

Photograph each page, convert to one PDF, then compress if it's over the limit. Need several files in one? Merge them in order.
